Data Entry Operator

Job Description:

Our partner, a national provider of diagnostic testing, has an immediate need Data Entry Operators for their RTP facility. The Data Entry Operators will be responsible for accurate data entry, file maintenance and record keeping. This will be a contract position with potential of long-term growth. This will be a 1st shift, Tuesday-Friday, 8:30am - 5pm and Saturday, 8am-4:30pm


  • Enter variety of data using multiple software programs

  • Prepare and sort documents for data entry

  • Create and maintain logs for tracking purposes

  • Review and enter data updates in the systems

  • Operate automated data systems to record and verify billing/accounts receivable information, customer demographic data and laboratory data identification information

  • Follows standard sequences and coding in entering and/or keying in data in correcting, editing, and verifying all data entered into automated systems

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Desired Background/Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in data entry

  • Associate degree is preferred

  • Must complete typing test and meet minimum requires for speed and accuracy


  • 1+ year of experience in data entry or similar work environment

  • Excellent typing skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Deadline and detail-oriented

  • Ability to work independently on an overnight shift
