Job Description:

An Institutional Contactor will be responsible for contacting assigned institutions to obtain contact information. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., or Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m., OR Monday-Friday 11:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. in a production center located in North Raleigh.


Responsibilities:


  • Contact assigned businesses to gain contact information

  • Develop relationships with key business leaders to ensure they understand the importance of participating in survey research and why the data requested is valuable

  • Utilize a proactive and creative approach to avert gatekeepers in order to successfully collect survey data

  • Report and document problems/challenges that occur during and following telephone interaction,

  • Accurately key information into a computer system

  • Independently manage daily workload and appointment activity

  • Follow up on business based requests to ensure continued participation

  • Maintain timely responses to verbal or written requests from business participants

  • Attend all mandatory training sessions related to surveys

  • Maintain quality standards for data collection


Education Requirements:


  • Post-secondary education required

    Qualifications:


    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and co-workers

    • Type at least 25 words per minute, with 95% accuracy

    • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills, above average vocal presentation, problem-solving skills and data management skills

    • Ability to interact comfortably with a variety of people

    • Perform data entry tasks and toggle between screens while speaking on the phone
