A Call Center / Data Collection Interviewer will conduct a wide variety of telephone interviews to obtain critical research data from survey participants about a sensitive topic study regarding health and injuries. If you are a Psychology, Sociology or Nursing student or have interest in these subjects, this is the perfect opportunity to gain real-world paid experience in the mental health field.   • Interview survey participants by telephone

  • Communicate to participants the importance of the survey and why their feedback is valuable

  • Deliver a scripted questionnaire verbatim to collect research data

  • Enter responses accurately into a computer system while speaking with participants

  • Attempt to convert participants who have previously opted not to complete a particular survey

  • Maintain quality standards for data collection

  • Attend all mandatory training sessions related to surveys

Education Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED required

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Any interest in Psychology, Social Science, Sociology, Psychology, Therapy, Counseling or Nursing? this is a great opportunity for real-world experience!


  • Strong vocabulary and effective communication skills

  • Comfortable discussing sensitive material

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Willingness to take direction

  • Reliability and strong work ethic

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and co-workers

  • Proven work history in Customer Service, Admin Clerical, Administrative Assistant or Call Center environment (preferred)

  • Type at least 25 words per minute, with 95% accuracy

Other Information:

  • Both part-time and full-time schedules are available, which include flexible evening & weekend schedule options

  • A minimum of 20 hours per week (which will include one 8-hour shift on the weekend) is required

  • Long-term project scheduled to run up to twelve months

  • Full training program, including demonstrations, practices sessions and group/mock interviews in order to properly prepare you for the interviewing tasks
