Job Description:

Our client, based in Cary, NC, is seeking an experienced Business Operations Specialist to add to their team! This individual will engage in a role that directly supports business operations in an effort to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. In this position you will also perform research, analysis, and coordination in support of divisional activities on initiatives such as budgeting, project and communication management, policy and procedure development, and strategic planning. This is a full time contract position with an exciting company.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and/or support the development and execution of business strategies and/or programs; align scope with strategic business objectives and regularly reporting on status to management.

  • Provide leadership and direction to support development and execution of business strategies and initiatives; coordinate activities with other business units within the company.

  • Identify and analyze the business needs of the department or business unit to develop plans for continuous improvement and to help determine solutions to business problems.

  • Engage in the project life cycle implementation process to facilitate and support the successful delivery (i.e., resource requests, contracts reviews, service agreements/work orders, project plans, invoices, etc.); manages operational tasks associated with project delivery.

  • Investigate options, recommend courses of action and drives implementation of initiatives related to continuous improvement, streamlining operations, and service delivery readiness and capabilities.

  • Define and implement standards and best practices to foster collaboration across all areas of the organization.

  • Provide resources to facilitate and enhance the value and quality of project delivery (i.e., training/learning, knowledge sharing, etc.).

  • Review, analyze and synthesize policies, processes and guidance documents to facilitate understanding and usage by the business.

  • Leverage internal knowledge of processes/procedures, methodologies and best practices to support the business.

  • Build relationships with customers, internal clients, project dependencies, and stakeholder.

  • Complete deadline-driven, team-based workstreams. Responsible for facilitating overall business objectives, goals and technical requirements of the department.

  • Ensure that the department's systems, processes, policies and programs respond to customer needs and maintain focus on quality and improving customer experience.

  • Plan, prioritize, implement and adjust delivery schedule, scope, resourcing, and quality, based on workstream requirements per consultation with stakeholders.

  • Negotiate resource needs and coordinates resources across business and technical groups for assigned workstreams including both domestic and international resources.

  • Facilitate business and technical staff to develop creative solutions to complex business and technical problems. Organize and adapt in alignment with department, division, and corporate goals.

  • Leverage methodologies, processes, project tools, and best practices to accelerate organizational goal delivery. Use management accountability methods and processes to ensure quality execution.

  • Identify dependencies and stakeholder influences, working jointly with other organizations who share responsibility for success.

  • Act as central point of contact for all business issues and interfaces with interested parties across the company.

  • Authoring highly effective written communications including workstream assessments, business requirements and user stories and business testing and training material.

  • Function as a coordinator and planner for one or more extended workstreams.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
