Job Description:

Our client, a local Family Law Office, is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to add to their team! This individual will maintain records of financial transactions, billings, payroll and trust account management. This is a contract to hire position that requires between 25 - 30 hours a week.


Responsibilities:


  • Covers all aspects of accounting

  • Work with billings and payables

  • Perform payroll duties

  • Trust account management

  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

  • Maintains historical records by filing documents

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • 5 years experience in an accounting position

    • 1-2 years experience working in a law office OR similar billing environment

    • Working knowledge of Trust Account Management

    • Experience with Paychex a plus

    • Efficiency in Excel and a legal accounting program (TABS preferred)
