Job Description:

Our client in Raleigh, NC is seeking a benefit administrator to add to their client services team! This is an administrative and analytical support position that assists the Project Analysis (PA) team members with their day-to-day functions. Tasks include assisting the PA with gathering all of the necessary information to build, analyze and, present renewals including Eligibility Audits, Risk Assessment Questionnaires (RAQs), Employee Censuses, Renewal Presentations and Quotes from various insurance carriers. This is a full time, contract to hire opportunity.


  • Administratively supporting and assisting the Project Analysis Team with the end-to-end annual Group Health benefits renewal process

  • Requesting quotes from the various carriers and supporting the Request for Proposal (RFP) and quote process

  • Assisting the Project Analysis Team (PA's) with creating and managing spreadsheets to effectively display and communicate the quote information received from the various insurance carriers

  • Assisting the Project Analysis Team with creating presentations for the Consultants to present to clients

  • Assisting the Project Analysis Team with medical quoting, enrollment and onboarding paperwork for new sales

  • Creating "Benefits User Guides" (BUG) brochures that summarize the clients' renewal decisions

  • Maintains organized filing systems

  • Ordering and preparing insurance carrier documentation including enrollment materials and provider booklets

  • All other duties and special projects as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher in business or related field preferred

Desired Background/Skills:


    • 1-2 years of experience in administrative support role

    • Basic understanding of group health and employee benefits including ancillary coverage such as life, disability, and dental insurance is preferred

    • Able to operate both independently and in a team setting

    • Organized with heavy attention to detail

    • Must have a client service mentality with active listening skills and able to effectively communicate with our clients, team members, and management

    • Proficient using Microsoft Office products especially Excel, Outlook, and Publisher

    • Skilled with Adobe Acrobat Standard
