Assembly Manager - Machinery

Job Description:

Our client, a leader in the development of high-speed blow molding and injection molding machinery, has an immediate opening for an experienced Assembly Manager - Machinery. The Assembly Manager - Machinery is a working Manager who has excellent organizational skills and can multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere. Chosen candidate must possess a strong background managing and leading assembly of complex electro/mechanical machinery. Furthermore, the successful individual must be able to manage multiple projects on the floor ranging from small to large scale, short and long term. Strong communications skills and ability to keep all departments informed and projects on schedule is required.


  • Oversee the electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic and mechanical assembly departments including organizing all work and corresponding personnel.

  • Successfully lay out jobs on assembly shop floor ensuring ultimate efficiency.

  • Assign electrical, mechanical, hydraulic task to appropriate personnel.

  • Partner with Engineering to resolve any issues occurring during assembly.

  • Openly and frequently communicate with other managers ensuring all needs are addressed in a timely fashion.

  • Coordinate purchasing, and shipping schedules and communicate pending deadlines to team.

  • Thoroughly inspect the entire assembly process ensuring quality, finished equipment is delivered to our customer.

Education Requirements:

  • College degree in engineering or industrial management highly preferred

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically relating to assembly, required.

    • Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and electrical schematics required.

    • Ability to successfully collaborate with engineers, shop personnel, and management required.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical components required.

    • Proven attention to detail with an emphasis on the manufacture of custom equipment a must.

    • Proven high level of creative problem-solving ability and strong written and verbal communication skills a must.

    • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and lead by example when faced with fluid environments a must.

    • Proven track record of being self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and leading and partnering with diverse team members required.

    • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required.

    • Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.

    • Posses a valid passport and willing to travel up to 5%.
