Accounting Clerk


Job Description:

Our client, a family-owned accounting and tax firm, is searching for an Accounting Clerk to join their team to provide payroll and accounting support to individuals and businesses. The Accounting Clerk will work a full time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.


Responsibilities:


  • Process payroll

  • Enter and pay vendor bills

  • Create client invoices

  • Process sales orders

  • Enter day to day transactions, sometimes from multiple accounts

  • Balance, reconcile, and correctly manage accounts, ledgers, and records

  • Verify all financial data is correct and complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations


Education Requirements:


  • Associate degree in accounting preferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Three years experience in a similar position

  • Excellent analytical, writing, communication, organizational and computer skills


Qualifications:


  • Advanced MS Excel and QuickBooks proficiency

  • Ability to read and understand financial statements

  • Ability to manage a heavy workload

  • Experience in general ledger accounting
