Account Manager

Job Description:

Our client, a company providing procurement and technology services, is looking for an Account Manager to join their team! The role of the Account Manager is to drive business growth across an established client base on the West Coast, developing strong customer relations and play a key role in shaping the direction of travel for the business. This is a full time, direct hire position, work remotely with travel to clients on the West Coast.


  • To manage multiple key accounts and take responsibility for account growth and retention of existing business

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers and the challenges they face, and develop procurement solutions that improve business performance through procurement excellence

  • To develop and maintain continuous engagement with key suppliers and customers making sure performance and customer service are a key consideration

  • Share market insight and client feedback across the organisation and play an active role in the development of new products and services

  • Measure performance against defined targets for HPN Select, reporting on performance to the Director of Procurement and/ or MD on a monthly basis

  • Attendance at internal and external meetings

  • Observe company style and standards consistently across all work

  • Undertake such training as may be reasonably required to maintain an appropriate level of technical competence for the post.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Experience and success of key account management

    • Substantial experience in either industry analysis or the commercial interpretation in a procurement / asset / construction environment

    • Strong research and analytical skills

    • Excellent project management, time management and organisational skills

    • Confident and clear communicator

    • Ability to manage senior stakeholders and build strong relationships

    • Results driven and motivated to increase market share, revenues and customer satisfaction

    • Ability to conduct high-stakes negotiations with key accounts

    • Ability to deliver high level expertise to maximise benefits for the client organisation
