Senior Business Analyst
Job Description:
Our valued client in the area is targeting a senior level Business Analyst who would work in coordination with Project Managers, internal and external stakeholders to elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements for software development initiatives S/He will ensure that requirements are traceable throughout the development lifecycle, provide leadership and guidance to teams during the requirements gathering process and foster continuous improvement
Responsibilities:
Conduct and manage team meetings and exercises in order to (a) help clarify business ideas; and (b) elicit requirements and other critical information
Perform requirements analysis in order to understand and translate business needs into actionable requirements
Document and communicate the results of meetings, exercises and analyses
Ensure requirements are traceable and documented using standard format(s) such as User Stories
Facilitate business approval of documented requirements
Ensure timely completion of requirements gathering initiatives
Coordinate with other stakeholders to define and improve the requirements-gathering function at CFI
Coordinate with team members to develop system documentation, such as end-user instructions, operating procedures, and training materials
Facilitate the initial technical review of newly submitted project requests
Work with stakeholders to define and document business process changes resulting from software development initiatives
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance relevant to the requirements gathering and management function.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in business or a related field

Excellent listening, oral and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively interact with business users, technical team members, and stakeholders at all levels in the organization
Excellent technical writing skills
Documentation and visualization mastery. Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to help clarify business ideas; document requirements; and, assess solution options
Ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Capable of working as a team member, as well as independently
Ability to lead and support successful requirements-gathering initiatives
Ability to capture requirements derived during business meetings, planning sessions, and problem-solving exercises. Proficient with workflow documentation tools such as Visio or Mural
Ability to establish acceptance criteria
Ability to coordinate an assessment of proposed approaches to determine whether the business needs will be met; identify and assess the strengths and weaknesses of proposed approaches
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, quality assurance or IT-related activities is preferred
Experience with Jira and Confluence preferred.
