Quality Control Technician

Job Description:

Our Client is a leading full-service provider of label and packaging solutions with a diverse product offering which includes pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, RFID/NFC technology, sustainable product solutions, scent activation technology, pharmaceutical packaging and fulfillment services. Responsibilities:

• Inspect first article, in-process, and final release of product to ensure conformance to customer specifications.

• Conduct periodic rounds to all presses, cutting machines, folders, and pack-outs to ensure conformance of product.

• Verify that cartons of finished products are properly packed and labeled.

• Perform rub tests and bar code scans when applicable.

• Perform periodic comparator checks of printed products.

• Work with QA Manager to gather information for all internal audits and investigations.

• Assist with the rework of defective product when necessary.

• Keep work area clean and organized.

• Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Working knowledge of computer systems.

• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

• Must be able to read a ruler to 1/64.

• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and uses hands and fingers in continuous and repetitive motions.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in quality control, preferably in the printing industry.

Other Information:

• 2nd Shift.

• Monday - Friday, 5:30pm to 5:30am.
