Job Description:
Greene Resources is seeking an In vivo biologist to join a growing and dynamic team!
Responsibilities:
Assist with and perform studies in mice and rats.
May perform molecular and cell biology experiments using techniques such as PCR, cloning, protein expression and purification, immunohistochemistry, transfection, western blotting, ELISA.
May perform various cellular, molecular, and biochemical assays to support research initiatives.
Perform other duties to support laboratory operations such as develop SOPs, report writing, ordering materials, lab organization etc.
Education Requirements:
BA/BS degree in biological sciences, or a related field with at least 1-2 years of research experience.
Meaningful undergraduate research experience is acceptable.
Desired Background/Skills:
Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques preferred.
Experience performing cell-based experiments in a plate format such as 96-well assays a plus.
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be dependable, have own transportation and be able to work on weekends as/if needed.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
Will consider candidates without a BA/BS degree but with 4+ years of animal handling and dosing experience.
Extensive experience working with rodents including routine handling, dosing via oral and other routes, and sample collection required.
Other Information:
Part-time, 20 hours per week.
