Job Description:
Our client is a dedicated immigration law firm committed to providing exceptional legal services to individuals and families navigating the complexities of immigration processes. Our team is passionate about advocating for our clients and ensuring they receive the support they need. The Part-Time Paralegal have a strong interest in immigration law and a desire to assist clients in their legal journeys. This position involves supporting attorneys in various aspects of case preparation and management.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications and supporting documents.
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for ongoing cases.
Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is current and accurately filed.
Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and provide case updates.
Draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents as needed.
Monitor case deadlines to ensure timely filing of all documents.
Assist in preparing for client meetings and hearings.
Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing calendar.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
Paralegal certification preferred.
Desired Background/Skills:
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
Strong research, writing and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
Strong communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
Qualifications:
20 hours per week.
Flexible schedule.
