Real Estate Legal Assistant
Job Description:
The real estate assistant's responsibilities include telephone duties, ordering supplies, preparing meeting material, client meetings/interactions, and managing day-to-day operations of the downtown office. To be successful as a real estate assistant, you should be highly organized and socially confident. An outstanding real estate assistant should be able to keep the office running smoothly and enable the attorneys to perform efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Greeting clients, answering the telephone and making follow-up calls.
Preparing correspondence and scheduling meetings (including Zoom, Teams, and other video conferences.)
Preparing real estate forms and documents.
Ordering supplies and office materials.
Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
Entering attorney time and assisting with client bills.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma/GED.
Desired Background/Skills:
An interest in real estate law.
Strong numeracy and organizational skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in real estate or a law firm is beneficial but not required.
Notary preferred but not required.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
