Job Description:

Our client, a company that provides high-quality, turn-key design, construction, ICT infrastructure and FF&E solutions for facilities across the United States and abroad is seeking a HR Manager! The person in this role is responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, benefits administration, monitoring company compliance with local and federal laws and regulations, coordinating and tracking timely performance evaluations, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Manager will report to the VP of HR. This role will be 100% onsite in Wilmington, North Carolina.


  • Works with Executives and Hiring Managers to create and execute innovative recruiting strategies to fill open positions

  • Identifies, screens candidates against job requirements and recommends qualified candidates to move forward in the interview process

  • Manages every step of the recruiting process including sourcing passive and active talent, candidate screening, interview coordination and candidate selection

  • Provides guidance to the hiring team to support full-cycle recruitment of qualified candidates efficiently and cost-effectively to achieve companys strategic goals

  • Develops candidate pools by managing various recruiting methods including job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, Career Page, networking, professional associations/organizations, and campus career fairs

  • Completes pre-employment requirements including background checks, motor vehicle reports, drug screening, work authorizations and new hire paperwork

  • Coordinates onboarding process to ensure essential resources are available and all equipment and tools are prepared

  • Facilitates new hire orientation for all onsite and remote employees

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with all recruiting vendors, partners, and staffing agencies as main point of contact for outside vendors

  • Advises Executives and Hiring Managers of established recruiting processes and procedures, monitors the process and revises as necessary

  • Coordinates performance evaluation program and provides necessary support

  • Manages company training platforms and administers necessary training items

  • Understands company Benefits program and works with employees to respond to questions and needs

  • Coordinates with the Compliance Manager to coordinate HR compliance needs

  • Performs other duties as necessary or assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent required

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage ones time and priorities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy


  • Maturity, professionalism, appropriate confidentiality, ability to manage conflict and handle stress with grace and composure are essential for this position.

  • Accreditation in professional human resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP) preferred

  • 10 or more years experience in high volume recruiting required

  • 10 or more years experience in leading recruiting initiatives including job fairs, campus recruiting, social media campaigns, and direct recruiting required

  • 2 or more years experience working in the construction industry preferred

  • Proficiency in crafting Boolean search strings for candidate search required

  • Experience in performing onboarding tasks including drug screening, background checks, reference checks, MVR checks, employment verifications, etc.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
