EHS Manager

Job Description:

Our client, located in Raleigh, NC, is searching for an EHS Manager to join their team. This is a direct-hire role and the schedule is M-F from 8am-5pm.


  • Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive EHS Programs on the regional level report on metrics.

  • Lead and Manage EHS-Related Projects.

  • Manage Division EHS and Fleet Specialists.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate innovative methods to increase operational efficiency.

  • Chair site and divisional EHS and Fleet Committees.

  • Develop budgets and analyze the costs and benefits of old and new initiatives.

  • Mentor and develop the knowledge base of junior staff.

  • Coach and mentor site supervisors in EHS responsibilities.

  • Collaborate effectively with site leaders to continuously improve safety.

  • Manage divisional incident reporting and resolution.

  • Act as interim EHS Director when the director is out of office or traveling.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or graduate degree in IH/OH, public health, safety, environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, or engineering, or any other Bachelor's degree program that contains at least 60 semester hours of creditable subjects with at least 15 of those hours at the upper level (junior, senior, or graduate level) and at least four courses.

  • Ability to attain PIT and safe driving certifications within the first 6 months of employment.

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Minimum 5 years of site EHS experience preferred.

    • CSP/CIH Certifications preferred.

    • Organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Must be able to multi-task and set priorities.

    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
