Job Description:
Greene Resources is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team!
Responsibilities:
Manage the quality control process for machined components, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to enhance machining processes, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Identify and analyze machining defects or non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions to resolve underlying issues.
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Apply statistical tools and techniques to analyze machining data, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions for quality improvements.
Provide training and guidance to production operators and quality assurance personnel on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and machining best practices.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Address customer concerns and quality issues related to machined components, working closely with customer-facing teams to ensure prompt resolution and satisfaction.
Stay current with relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring organizational compliance. Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and active participation in industry organizations.
Use advanced metrology tools, such as Vision systems, to accelerate part inspections.
Design fixtures for inspecting parts or assemblies.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required.
Desired Background/Skills:
Strong understanding of machining processes, particularly with CNC lathes and screw machines.
Proficiency in quality management systems, statistical analysis tools, and quality assurance methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and effectively communicate technical information to a diverse audience.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in quality engineering or quality assurance roles within a machining or manufacturing environment required.
Experience with quality documentation and compliance requirements, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, is preferred.
Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software is desirable.
Experience with vision systems is a plus.
Other Information:
Monday - Thursday.
6am to 4pm.
Onsite.
