Job Description:
The Business Development Manager will directly support the organic sales effort while generating leads and closing new business to fulfill company goals. The Business Development Manager will work extensively on building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing relationships while continuously improving the companys strategic business development and marketing efforts in their regional market.
Responsibilities:
Identify key decision makers, including security directors, facility managers, property managers, and other executive personnel.
Analyze the local market and sales territory to identify opportunities and industry trends.
Prospect new customers through various methods, including cold and warm calling, and other initiatives.
Develop and present proposals to potential clients, and negotiate and finalize contracts for services.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth account implementation and startup after contracts are signed.
Maintain and organize current prospect lists, including status notes and evaluations of attractiveness or immediacy.
Meet regularly with customers to assess satisfaction levels and address their needs, while fostering and improving business relationships.
Investigate and provide solutions for prospective clients, maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality at all times.
Represent the company positively and professionally at trade shows and industry events.
Utilize Salesforce and other tools to manage client information, prospecting, and reporting.
Ensure all activities adhere to established budgetary guidelines.
Employ excellent mathematical skills and proficiency in Excel to create comprehensive pricing models.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field of expertise.
Desired Background/Skills:
Possess excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to travel and visit all local site locations regularly; knowledge of the area is required.
Demonstrate capability to perform multiple, fast-paced job functions independently, utilizing effective time management skills under minimal supervision and following established guidelines.
Make quick and effective decisions while evaluating alternatives and determining the best course of action.
Exhibit strong technological proficiency with tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, and LinkedIn.
Physical capabilities include standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, climbing and balancing.
Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus while maneuvering vehicles in tight and high-traffic areas.
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
Qualifications:
5 or more years of related experience and sustained superior performance in Business Development for the contract security industry or similar industry.

Remote position.
Must be location in Washington or Oregon.
Seldom exposed to loud noise, humidity, rainy/stormy, extreme hot and cold weather conditions (depending on season), moving mechanical parts, vibration, toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.
Work in indoor environment up to approximately 80% of the time.
Travel within assigned region territory approximately 80% of the time and occasionally outside territory.
