Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the 2nd shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and repair of all Production Equipment, Machinery and General Facilities. 2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. (Including but not limited to repairing, overhauling, replacement of seals and or bearings and shafts etc.)
Routine planned maintenance on the Mixers, Extruders, Continuous oven, corrugated box formers/sealers and other finishing machines. (Planned maintenance or PM including but not limited to oil changes, greasing, checking air filters, machine alignment checks or taking measurements to check for machine wear.)
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting including 480 volt 3 phase, 24 volt DC, pneumatics and hydraulics. (Understand and troubleshoot and repair/replace components related to 480 volt 3 phase electrical equipment. Motors, contactors, Frequency Drives [also called inverters or VFD?s] 24 volt DC electrical components such as relays, solenoids, switches and push buttons. Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic components as in cylinders, solenoids, flow controls and accumulators.)
Record maintenance, problems, and repairs in log system.
Clean work area to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Manufacturing capabilities including Mig, Stick and acetylene cutting and welding.
Carpentry (minimal ? manufacture of plywood boxes)
Complete moderately complex project assignments, such as equipment/process improvement.
Facility lighting ? interior and exterior.
Replenish process oil totes routinely.
Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years? experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
Basic automation and troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradly plc.)
Excellent trouble-shooting and math skills.
Desired Background/Skills:
Forklift experience
Qualifications:
Ability to read, understand, and follow safety information, operating instructions, blueprints, schematics and drawings, and procedure manuals. (SOP?s or standard operating procedures, electrical prints and or hard wire drawings.)
Good computer, written and verbal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 70 lbs.
Use fingers, hands, arms, and legs to lift, reach, push and pull. Will stand, walk, stoop, and kneel.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heat, and moderate noise.
