Job Description:
This individual will partner with 1-2 other HR consultants to solve HR Challenges of small to medium sized clients. This person should have a strong HR Generalist background, across multiple industries, be able to work on a strategic and operational level to solve typical HR challenges: HR Policy & Compliance (State/Federal Law), Employee Handbook, Compensation, Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Employee Onboarding. The HR Consultant should be able to effectively communicate with and influence the decisions of C-Suite individuals regarding HR issues.
Responsibilities:
Partner with other HR Consulting team members, working across 3-4 HR projects simultaneously for small to medium sized clients of 25-300+ employees.
Clients are across 18 states in the Central time zone.
Less than 25% travel, this is primarily a remote, WFH, role.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar field is required.
Certification as a Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources certification strongly preferred.
Desired Background/Skills:
Should have 3+ years of experience as an HR Consultant supporting multiple clients in an ongoing relationship both retained and project support.
Experience consulting with C-Suite individuals on their Human Resource challenges.
Must have experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other HR programs.
Must have sound judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government law.
Strong foundation of HR knowledge in employment laws and practices.
Strong HR Generalist experience in small/medium companies (25+-300) across multiple industries.
Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs, HR Policy and compliance (Handbook), employment processing and onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and possibly HR Technology and payroll.
Must be comfortable leading presentations and facilitating training for C-Suite leadership teams and employee groups.
Ability to partner with team members to foster a productive consultant relationship with each client.
Qualifications:
Must have a solid foundation of HR knowledge - employment laws and practices - as well as a keen ability to serve as a business partner.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and effectively interact with C-suite clients and prospective clients.
Must possess the ability to work with clients at a senior strategic level as well as operationally as the situation demands.
Must posses Strong leadership skills.
Must be self-motivated and with excellent time management skills ? must be able to multi-task and work with multiple deadlines.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
Must be highly skilled in use of Microsoft Office and other platforms to support development and delivery of presentations and training.
Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software program, preferred.
Must be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines and work well with others.
Ability to articulate the company's value proposition and capabilities.
