Injection Molding Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Under general supervision, performs maintenance activities. Measures and analyzes machine data, determines root cause of failures and recommends resolutions. The Maintenance Technician will set, adjust, and maintain assigned plastic injection molding techniques and equipment with responsibility for production and efficiency and safety. Position requires Injection Molding experience, at least 1-2 years. Candidates without Injection Molding Maintenance experience will not be considered. 2nd OR 3rd shift: Mon-Fri 3pm - 11pm OR 11p - 7a, $30/hr

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work on injection molding and related equipment.

• Visually inspects and troubleshoots machines and equipment to locate cause of malfunction.

• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

• Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned.

• Analyzes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and operational problems in injection molding.

• Fabrication and installation of related trades. Perform building maintenance and general carpentry.

• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Two year Technical Degree preferred or equivalent experience

Desired Background/Skills:

Qualifications:




• 3+ years of maintenance technician experience

• Experience with medium tonnage plastic injection molding machines is strongly preferred. Nissei, Boy, Arburg

• Knowledge of robot operation (automation)

• Advance Electronics repair, wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc. is a plus
