Client Success Manager

Job Description:

Our client, a leading communications service provider, is looking to bring on a new client success manager due to high company growth! Primary functions of the team include coordinating the distribution of all Proxy material and communicating final tabulation results of the proxy event to all interested parties. The role of the client success manager is to oversee a team of relationship managers responsible for servicing one or more of the companys strategic partners. This person will also serve as a senior relationship manager, particularly for more complex events. It is critical that the team manage and mitigate risk for incoming transactions relating to proxy services and that those items are processed effectively and within established standards in the markets.


  • Manages the companys client relationship and strategic partnership activities through a skilled and knowledgeable service team.

  • Responsible for 2-5 team members

  • Ensure daily work of the team is distributed, monitored, and completed according to deadlines.

  • Enforce team procedures and controls with the team.

  • Provides intelligent and knowledgeable assistance to clients regarding the shareholder meeting process, product queries and market complexities.

  • Leads client meetings / user groups on and off site to build stronger business relationships.

  • Monitors the effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures and makes appropriate recommendations to ensure daily operations are efficient.

  • Manage and maintain relationships and expectations of internal/external clients to foster a holistic and productive environment.

  • Establish clearly defined goals and objectives for the department and assist associates to the attainment of those goals through coaching and motivation.

  • Influence a positive culture focused on quality product delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Accountable for ensuring all proxy events are tracked and managed effectively throughout the event?s life cycle.

  • Plan for and respond to changing management needs and seasonal fluctuations of workload.

  • Provide training, instructional guidance, thought leadership and development opportunities to staff members on industry practices

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferred

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Strong, self-driven leader with demonstrated ability to proactively drive, manage and grow a team.

  • Experience with B2B environment. Able to work with internal/external clients and build business relationships.

  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and complete tasks within established time constraints

  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment and meet numerous deadlines.

  • Strong background in managing teams toward goals with experience developing and implementing operational best practices is needed

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Suite and effectively use email and phone

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent research skills and detail oriented

  • Able to multitask, work on multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong problem solving skill


  • 4+ years of client success experience

  • 2+ years supervisor experience

  • Experience working in Business Operations/ Financial Services
