Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Relationship Manager who will support revenue goal attainment for Chamber membership with a focus on membership retention, new member sales, and monthly subscription members. This position requires a detail- and deadline-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service and communication with members. The candidate must demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, follow-through, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
Responsibilities:
Work with Senior Vice President on generating a pipeline for new member sales
Execute retention plan for assigned accounts
Make sales calls to new and existing members
Respond to member inquiries
Develop strong relationships with members by providing support, information, and guidance
Maintain sales activity records in CRM
Book qualified meetings via outbound communications (phone, email, and social platforms, mainly LinkedIn)
Work with Senior Relationship Managers to close deals
Schedule appointments for Senior Relationship Managers and attend sales calls
Serve as backup sales staff for walk-in visitor to the Chamber
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor and as needed by the team
Education Requirements:
Associates degree
Bachelors degree preferred
Desired Background/Skills:
Previous fundraising experience in a non-profit or university setting is preferred
Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation
Excellent customer relationship skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Experience working with customer relationship management software (CRM) and/or fundraising software (such as Raisers Edge)
Experience using Microsoft Teams and/or project management software
Experience working with a non-profit or member association or in customer relationship management
Experience creating leadership development content for events/programs in cooperation with volunteers
Experience managing volunteer committees and task forces
Qualifications:
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Conveying detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communications and to make the discriminations in sound
Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements or motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers to type
Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally to lift or move objects
Other Information:
This employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading
This position operates in a professional office environment in a shared workspace. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The dress code is flexible from casual to corporate depending on daily activities

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Employees are required to work on site or from site three days per week. Daily flextime and general flextime scheduling options are available
No travel is required except for errands and to event locations within Wake County and RTP
