Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Serve as a lead to other Accounts Payable staff ensuring workload balancing and training.
Periodically audit and validate current processes for compliance.
Coordinate the receiving of documentation in support of invoice approvals.
Oversee and manage the invoice intake and check run processes and accounts payable system to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of information, and resolve issues as appropriate.
Maintain the vendor master file and coordinates new vendor set-up within the system.
Comply with regulations regarding the retention of invoice and payment documentation.
Serve as liaison between internal units and external customers to address queries relating to invoices and payments; resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Administer check printing and related functions within the department.
Engage the Global Disbursements Manager and the General Accounting team with month end close activities and accruals as needed.
Work to support other accounting tasks required by the organization
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma and 6 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Desired Background/Skills:
6+ years of A/P experience.
Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
Excellent interpersonal communication and project management skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to analyze and organize data with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently.
