Electrical Technician


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise and knowledge in electrical systems will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment and systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Travel to surrounding counties around Raleigh, including Charlotte and Wilmington.

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, wiring and equipment.

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure proper functionality.

  • Identify electrical problems and determine the most effective solutions.

  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams and technical specifications.

  • Install and connect electrical components, such as switches, outlets and circuit breakers.

  • Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and assignments.

  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies and regulations.


Education Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of a recognized electrical technician program or apprenticeship.

  • Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification is preferred.


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Familiarity with electrical tools, equipment and testing devices.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical failures branch circuits.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations and safety procedures.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and work in various environments.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.


Qualifications:


  • 3 years of troubleshooting experience required.

  • Proven experience in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems.
