Director of Business Development (Remote)


Job Description:

Grow new business opportunities and organically expand existing business at specific assigned accounts through superior account management. Creatively propose solutions to both big and small clients in pharma, healthcare with customized solutions for multiple clients. Put the capabilities of our client in the best possible position for significant client opportunities and manage important business development pitches for new and existing clients as 'pitch producer'.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify and lead all growth opportunities within key domestic and global healthcare clients

  • Manage all aspects of the pitch process while collaborating across teams owning strategic and day-to-day management of various internal and external projects

  • Set and manage the pitch workflow by scheduling and leading meetings

  • Help develop, write, and execute creative and informative presentations that highlight our client's capabilities, resources, and services to new and existing business partners

  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to maintain an accurate budget and goal

  • Perform administrative duties in association with the sales process

  • Oversee the final pitch response (proposal, pricing, presentation, etc.) and work directly with strategy and marketing teams to coordinate and manage medical briefing, audience research, interviews, and testing

  • Utilize forecasting and business analytical skills to take advantage of opportunities and to expand relationships


Education Requirements:


  • Highschool diploma/GED


Desired Background/Skills:


  • 5+ years advertising experience selling to pharma (5 of those years selling online solutions and managing a sales territory)


Qualifications:


  • Proven track record of closing new business opportunities and building relationships with brand managers and their agencies of record

  • Ability to analyze, develop, sell in, and manage business strategies, plans and business cases

  • Prior experience leading new healthcare business pitches

  • Strong presentation and senior client facing skills
