Staff Accountant
Job Description:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing various accounting and data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure that all inquiries are resolved satisfactorily, following up as necessary to confirm that issues have been addressed and solutions are effective.
Work effectively with different teams or departments to ensure project objectives are met, offering support and expertise where needed.
Execute general journal entries to correct invoices, ensuring accurate financial records by transferring sales from one vertical market to another.
Oversee the accuracy and completeness of customer data within the ERP system, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and correctly reflects business operations.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.
Report to the Finance Manager.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance or business administration.
Desired Background/Skills:
Proficiency in ERP software, and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work within an office environment during normal working hours and assist other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
