Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer
Job Description:
Defines, researches, develops, implements, and sustains safe, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods. Use sound Industrial Engineering and Project Management principles, methods, and tools, aligned with customer requirements, product specifications, and quality standards. Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, responding promptly to inquiries and meeting deadlines as scheduled.
Collaborate with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams on daily tactical activities and projects.
Analyze requests from team members for process changes to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
Recommend and develops manufacturing and logistics strategies that improve value for customers by reducing waste, shortening cycle times, and enhancing product quality.
Lead the creation and updates of work instructions for use across the organization.
Conduct analyses for ergonomics, cost reductions, quality improvements, and increased efficiency.
Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting as needed.
Conduct time studies and establishes performance standards.
Modify and creates new production routings.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Distribution & Logistics.
Desired Background/Skills:
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
A dedicated work ethic, capable of working independently, collaboratively as a team member, or taking on leadership roles.
Highly motivated self-starter with the drive to succeed.
Excellent skills in writing, presenting, communicating, and maintaining organizational efficiency.
Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Technical expertise in manufacturing processes, including workflow, layouts, assembly, machining, tooling, and warehouse operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset for generating new ideas.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
High proficiency in computer applications, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
