Job Description:
Our valued client in the Tucson, Arizona area, is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst who will be responsible for collecting information from user devices (username, hostname, IP address) and reporting that information to the Project Manager. The Desktop Support Analyst will be conducting asset inventory on both hardware and software and ensuring that inventory is reflected in the asset management system. The Desktop Support Analyst will also identify systems that have user files on the local hard drive. Prior to the migration process, personnel will ensure connectivity to the City's network and ensure that all systems are up to date. After the migration process, S/He will be technical support in conjunction with the Technical Services Team and report any newly discovered errors in the process to the Project Manager. Personnel will also provide telephonic support as needed. Additional tasks related to the project may be required. No lifting.
Responsibilities:
Host computer information (host name, IP address)
Software Asset Inventory
Hardware Asset Inventory
Ensuring all systems are captured within the asset management system
Identification of user files not on OneDrive
Assist supervisors with pre-migration tasks
Ensuring systems are properly connected to the network
Coordinating with System Administrators and Technical Support Team prior to migration
Provide technical support to the end user post-migration
Identify/communicate newly discovered errors to the Project Manager
Provide telephonic support
Education Requirements:
A+ Certification is the bare minimum that each candidate is required to have but the HM is open to candidates with relevant experience. Security+ Certification and Associate degree in IT-related field, or 2-year documentable experience is nice to have if this candidate wants to be considered for a permanent position.
Windows 10 familiarity and knowledge
Desired Background/Skills:
Security+ Certification
Associate degree in IT-related field, or 2-year documentable experience
Documented Windows 10/11 experience
Documented Microsoft Office experience
Job Title: Desktop Support (Focus on Asset Management & Data Migration)
Duration: 3 months, possible extension. Temporary end date is set for 12/20/24.
Target Start Date: September 9
Pay Rate: $23 per/hour
Worksite Address: 481 W. Paseo Redondo, Tucson, AZ, 85701 IT Department (there is a lactation room for new mothers and an onsite kitchen with a fridge and microwave, a Circle K within immediate walking distance, restaurants are about 2 blocks away)
Dress Code: Jeans, collared shirt, and sneakers are ok. Clothing/shoes must be in good condition, no rips. No suits and ties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM, must be onsite every day this is not a remote or hybrid role
Parking: Free parking is not included. There is parking available in the City-State garage. Weekday $1.00 per hour (first hour free) Monthly $55 + tax ($56.38 total)
