Account Representative


Job Description:

This person will be working in a fast-paced environment where they will be expected to display strong customer service and communication skills to properly assist patients with resolving medical claims. They will support patients by providing helpful information and answering questions. They will handle a large volume of incoming calls and navigate between multiple systems with various clinics and departments. **This ON-SITE contract-to-hire opportunity will be Monday-Friday, 11am-8pm. Part time shifts also available (10a-2p and 4p-8p).


Responsibilities:


  • Obtain insurance information from patients as needed

  • Multitask between a variety of technology, systems, tools, and resources

  • Provide empathetic and compassionate service that leaves a good impression

  • Maintain accurate notes of patient interactions in electronic record systems

  • Help patients resolve balances, set up payment arrangements, or help them with financial assistance options when appropriate

  • Meet basic requirements for a variety of key performance indicators (goals)

  • Understand and comply with various company, state, and federal regulations

  • Take incoming calls as well as make calls to patients to resolve concerns and balances.

  • Other duties as assigned


Education Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be able to complete and clear background check

  • Regular, dependable, attendance and punctuality

  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types

  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively


Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks based on established criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and make timely decisions when necessary

  • Skilled at time management; very organized

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of patient billing claims process

  • Strong and professional telephone communication skills

  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations
