Job Description:
Our client, a local law firm, is seeking a Payroll Administrator. This position will be responsible for start to finish payroll duties and is part of the HR department. This is located in Raleigh, NC - the first 90 days will be onsite and then transition into a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
Collects and updates payroll information such as changes in exemptions, accounts, job titles and office/section changes.
Process bi-monthly and monthly payrolls, W-2 and K-1.
Tracks and reconciles firm leave(FMLA, Extended Illness?)
Agency filings to include but not limited to Workers Compensation, EEOC, etc.
Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations.
Reconciles payroll accounts and provide breakdown to accounting.
Maintains personnel files to include I-9s and certifications.
Updates firm databases to correspond with current payroll files.
Education Requirements:
Associate's Degree, required.
Desired Background/Skills:
2-4 years of experience in payroll administration.
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with all participants.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow the instruction effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
