Sales and Business Development VP


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Vice President of Sales & Business Development in Demand Planning to join our dynamic team. The core focus of this role is to optimize performance and ensure seamless supply chain management for our clients. This role will drive revenue growth through net new direct sales, proper implementation, and a high-performing channel partner ecosystem.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for the demand planning business unit.

  • Drive net new sales through strategic planning, market analysis, and effective sales execution.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the companys footprint in the demand planning market.

  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs.

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team to influence business decisions and adjustments.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Director of Sales, Director of Channel Partnerships, and Executive Director of Professional Services, fostering a high-performance sales culture.

  • Set clear performance metrics and evaluate the sales teams performance, ensuring effective pipeline management and accurate forecasting.

  • Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance the teams skills and overall effectiveness.

  • Manage and expand channel partnerships, ensuring alignment with overall sales strategy and business goals.

  • Create joint business plans with channel partners to drive mutual growth and success.

  • Oversee partner performance and support the channel network to maximize sales.

  • Ensure the seamless integration of professional services into the sales process to enhance customer value and satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with Client Success and Professional Services to ensure smooth client onboarding, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure alignment on lead generation, branding, and market positioning.

  • Achieve key performance goals, including revenue targets, sales team development, and client satisfaction while maintaining strong client relationships.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Masters degree is preferred.


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

  • In-depth knowledge of demand planning methodologies, statistical models, and forecasting tools.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive strategic decision-making.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to drive sales growth.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of sales and supply chain dynamics.

  • Proficiency in demand planning software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in demand planning, sales forecasting and sales management in a leadership role.
