Job Description:
Our client, a distributing company in Wilson, NC, is looking to bring on a new finance manager. This is a dual role that will serve as the key finance business partner for Guatemala origin as well as assist with the regional analysis and consolidation. The role may eventually evolve to support other business units within the North America region.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that the day-to-day accounting operations are performed in accordance with the companys policies and procedures as well as Local Statutory and US GAAP requirements
Responsible for monthly and quarterly financial close for the local Guatemala entity
Develops financial outlooks, Annual Operating and Strategic Plans in terms of P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow forecasting
Works closely with Guatemala operations team to understand actual performance, trends and business opportunities; recommends courses of action where appropriate
Performs detailed crop costs reconciliation
Prepares weekly cash flow projections and provides analytical support for the local purposes as needed
Liaises with the Inventory Control and Logistics functions to ensure continuous business flow
Provides financial accounting support and guidance to the local team as needed
Challenges existing processes related to operational efficiency, effectiveness and internal controls; recommends viable solutions for improvement
Oversees and follows up on internal and external audits
Assists with the data consolidation and analysis for North America region
Assists with the preparation of regional decks for internal and external use
Education Requirements:
BS in accounting/finance
Desired Background/Skills:
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Must have analytical mindset
Must be self-starter, continuously challenge status quo and enjoy problem solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requires ability to work in a multi-cultural team and tailor communication to non-native English speakers
Requires good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Requires ability to occasionally travel to Guatemala (minimum 2 times per year)
Qualifications:
5+ years in an analytical finance role demonstrating increase in responsibilities
Experience in manufacturing industry preferred
Experience in an ERP environment, SAP software work experience strongly preferred
Fluency in Spanish is encouraged
