Permits Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Permits Specialist to join our team. The Permits Specialist will be responsible for managing the permitting process for various HVAC and construction projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role will require strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.
Responsibilities:
Research and understand the permitting requirements for HVAC and construction projects in various jurisdictions.
Prepare and submit permit applications and necessary documentation to local authorities.
Track the status of permit applications and follow up with agencies to expedite approvals.
Coordinate with project managers, dispatch, and other departments to ensure all necessary permits are obtained before project commencement.
Maintain an organized filing system for all permits and related documents, both electronic and physical.
Monitor changes in regulations and update internal processes accordingly to ensure compliance.
Assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the permitting process.
Provide support and guidance to staff regarding permitting requirements and procedures.
Assist with dispatching need

Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor degree in a related field preferred.
Desired Background/Skills:
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with permit management software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a permits or regulatory compliance role, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry.
