Job Description:

Our partner, a market-leading innovator and manufacturer in the Semiconductor Industry, has a new contract position available on shipping support team. The primary focus of this position is to provide shipping support and order fulfillment that will optimize delivery to customer requirements that verifies, identifies, and inspects a wide variety of incoming materials and supplies, referring to purchase orders and shipping documents.


Responsibilities:


  • Counts, weighs, and checks against shipping and customer order and reports order shortages.

  • Selects packaging or shipping containers for materials not packed.

  • Specifies types of crates or skids for bulky material.

  • Selects routing and carrier when not specified.

  • Prepares and/or assembles required shipping documents.

  • Loads trailers and arranges for carrier pickup.

  • Prepares receiving report, noting shortages and damaged materials and maintains lot traceability

  • Ensure that incoming goods are received and processed properly, customer orders are processed and shipped correctly, finished goods are packaged according to specification, are shipped on time, and management of FGI inventory accuracy.

  • Establish and modify operational procedures, work instructions, metrics, maintain documentation to reflect the efficiency and effectiveness of department activities.


Education Requirements:


  • HS Diploma minimum.

  • Post HS education preferred with supplemental classes in shipping and logistics.


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MES, Smartsheet and Great Plains are highly desirable.


Qualifications:


  • Must be highly detail oriented and well organized.

  • Prior semi-conductor shipping experience is preferred.

  • Must be highly self-motivated and self directed.

  • Able to complete tasks in creative and effective ways.

  • Willingness to work on assignments requiring judgement and initiative, with the understanding of the implications of the work and make recommendations for solutions.

  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance to other members of the team as required.

  • Must be able to work occasional overtime as business dictates.

  • 2 to 3 years experience in a fast-paced warehouse and shipping environment.
