Production Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking multiple Production Operator's to join our client's expanding production team in the Mebane NC area! Production operator's will be responsible for starting up and operating equipment, following specific instructions, loading and unloading raw materials, and inspecting final products at the end of the production process. Training is provided and ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-pace environment and meeting production goals. This position will start out on a contract basis with the goal of long-term hire based on performance, attendance, business need, etc. We have schedules available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. Pay will range between $13.50-15/hr based on experience.


  • Set-up the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.

  • Responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety, food safety, quality and environmental practices.

  • Operates equipment safely and effectively for production processing under the guidance of supervisor.

  • Ensures that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.

  • Inspects equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.

  • Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.

  • Identify and report unsafe operations to supervisor immediately.

  • May perform duties in other departments as assigned by Team Lead and/or Supervisor.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Past experience working in FDA/USDA regulated environments is a plus


  • Must be comfortable occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Must be comfortable standing for up to 8 hours

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Flexibility to work during the weekend IF extra productions day are added into the schedule (these days become mandatory and subject to disciplinary actions if absent).

  • Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.

  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.

  • Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members and outside contacts.

  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.

  • Interacts with Quality Assurance department in a daily basis constructively and professionalism
