Manufacturing Operator

Job Description:

Our client, a global leader in the semiconductor industry, has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Operator to join their growing team. This person will work in a multi-faceted role involving operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting the machines that are producing semiconductor material. This opportunity requires high attention to details for handling, loading, and operating process tooling. The base schedule is day shift but the flexibility for overtime and working off hours as needed is required. The starting pay rate is $18/hr with the possibility of flexibility based on experience.


  • Diagnose & troubleshoot equipment problems

  • Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks (cleaning, calibration, & repairs)

  • Contribute to installing new equipment

  • Inspect and characterize final product results using calipers, & digital micrometer gauges

  • Work with Process Engineers/Technicians to upgrade and transition new and existing tooling when necessary

  • Define/refine methods to increase process repeatability and control to achieve higher yield, lower costs, higher flexibility, and better reproducibility

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma required

  • Associates in technical field a plus

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Experience with semiconductor processing preferred but not required


  • At least 1 years of product/process development and/or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Excellent mechanical skills

  • Must be able to wear respiratory protection for majority of shift

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds of weight repeatedly and safely

  • Self-motivated, high-energy individual with a strong drive for accomplishment

  • A 'go-getter' attitude to do whatever is necessary to get the job done

  • Ability to handle other tasks as assigned on production floor

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Apple iPad

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to follow written and verbal work instructions
