Maintenance Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our client's expanding manufacturing facility in the Mebane NC area! Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on MAF building, mechanical equipment, production machines and utility systems. There are openings available on both 2nd and 3rd shift but the flexibility to train on 1st shift may be required. This position will start on a contract to hire basis with the potential for long-term employment. The starting pay will range between $18.50-19.50/hr based on experience with room for growth.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain all the equipment and machinery at MAF
Performs minor and major repairs on building and equipment. Major repairs are performed under the supervision of license technicians and/or Supervisor.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, repairs or replaces broken parts.
Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems.
Replaces broken windows, repairs doors, door locks and closets, installs window blinds.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Responds to emergency maintenance request as required. May have to work after normal scheduled hours depending on task.
Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required.
May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed
Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions
Paint, repair windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall or other parts of building structures
Test and treat water supply
Perform routine maintenance on boilers
Align and balance new equipment after installation
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Vocational degree preferred
Desired Background/Skills:
Qualifications:
Experience working in a FDA regulated facility is a plus
At least 2 years experience providing electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Experience with welding is a plus
