Legal Case Manager


Job Description:

Our client, a local law firm, is looking to add a Case Manager to their team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (spanish/english), outgoing, energetic, self-starter with great customer service skills. The Case manager is responsible for assisting clients throughout the claims process, from filing the initial application to developing the record for hearing. While experience in this field is absolutely necessary, we are also looking for more important qualities such as iron clad integrity, an unrelenting drive to obtain results, a deep desire to help others, and a commitment to operational efficiency and excellence. Prior experience in a law office is highly preferred. Hours 8-5 or 9-6 pm Mon-Fri. This is a full time, contract to hire opportunity!


Responsibilities:


  • Completing intakes, filing claims, connect clients with medical providers.

  • Completing personal injury files from intake to disbursements.

  • Compiling medical records/bills, negotiating with providers, and preparing demands

  • Drafting LOP's, communicating case details with paralegal/attorney, handling disbursements/checks

  • Forwarding and arranging calls, emails, faxes, and all correspondence

  • Speaking with clients and ensuring high satisfaction/responsiveness

  • Managing attorney dockets to ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely manner.

  • Reviewing files and conferring with attorneys to discuss the status of the file as well as upcoming deadlines.

  • Assisting attorneys with preparing for hearings.

  • Drafting client correspondence.

  • Maintaining client files.

  • Conducting legal research and drafting letters, briefs, memorandums, and other legal documents.

  • Efficiently and consistently providing superior service to clients.

  • Evaluating potential disability claims at intake

  • Maintaining a well-respected reputation amongst clients, opposing counsel, Judges, Court staff, and colleagues.


Education Requirements:


  • High School Diploma required

  • Associates degree preferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Experience with Disability claims, car accident claims, or Worker Comp claims is preferred.


Qualifications:


  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a law office
