Laboratory Production Assembler
Job Description:
Our client, a national provider of diagnostic testing, has immediate needs for Production Technicians at their Burlington facility. In these roles, employees will perform repetitive line assembly operations to produce on-site drug test kits in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. These positions will work on an open-ended contract basis with the potential for full time hire. The shift is Monday through Friday, 8am- 4:30pm but the flexibility for overtime is required. The starting pay rate is $10.15/hr
Responsibilities:
Produce on-site test kits and organize containers for further processing
Will work in a fast paced environment handling a high volume of test kits daily
Prepare all packages received for testing in designated laboratory departments
Accurately perform data entry and verification of test requisition information
Education Requirements:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Background/Skills:
Experience working in a face-paced, hands-on work environment
Prior experience in Manufacturing, Biotechnology or Healthcare is preferred
Qualifications:
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Material handling and assembly experience preferred
Ability to work unsupervised as well as working with other team members
Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Ability to work in a repetitive work environment including standing or remaining seated for prolonged periods
Ability to properly identify hazardous materials in the workplace and knowledge of personal protection measures. Must comply with applicable safety procedures
