Junior Treasury Specialist

Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Junior Treasury Specialist to join their team! The Junior Treasury Specialist reports to the Treasury Manager and is responsible for assisting store bank account administration, reporting, and analysis of store cash delivery channels. This position is a short term special project based role.


  • Assist with opening new store bank accounts, and performing store bank changes, including the set-up of deposit services for the store and communication of reconciliation system updates.

  • Assist with updating authorized signers on store bank accounts, performing online portal maintenance, and coordinating the reconciliation system updates.

  • Assist with consolidating and closing of store bank accounts, including coordination of account closure within reconciliation system and general ledger.

  • Support the implementation of new Treasury systems and processes by performing process walkthroughs, creating process flows, and documenting operating procedures.

  • Maintain consolidated list of store bank accounts and track store bank openings, changes, and closings to communicate with Accounting.

  • Support company projects, such as new store openings, conversions, and relocations by facilitating bank services and agreements to meet project deadlines.

  • Manage daily communication between Store Operations and Treasury, facilitating requests and communicating resolutions, in a timely manner.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Minimum 2 years in cash management operations or financial services

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Banking portal experience is a plus

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across different teams and functions

    • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

    • Proactive approach to assignments with the ability to work independently
