HR Assistant


Job Description:

Our client is seeking a short-term HR Assistant to join their team! The Human Resource Assistant responsibilities include updating employee records with new hire information, , and verifying employee work eligibility. Ultimately, assisting the HR Team in organizing and coordinating HR policies and procedures. This is a contract role though the end of May with the opportunity to get extended. Candidates must report to the physical office.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain confidential personnel files and personnel actions.

  • Update internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms

  • Verify and completes Forms I-9, submit E-Verify, and maintains I-9 files. Submits online investigation requests as needed.

  • Enter and maintains personnel files in our web-based HR systems in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

  • Enter and resolve background checks.

  • Answer telephones and emails as requested for the HR department.

  • Develop and maintain HR Compliance Knowledge

  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.

  • Provide clerical and operational support to other HR staff.

  • Special projects and all other duties as assigned.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree preferred


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • 1 -2 years of administrative experience with heavy focus and high-volume of data entry

    • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.

    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

    • Accurate, detail-oriented and highly organized

    • Extensive knowledge and proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office Suite), and traditional office equipment
