Facilities Maintenance Technician


Job Description:

Our client, a semi-conductor manufacturer, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to assist in the upkeep of buildings as well as the equipment. Ideal candidate is well rounded and can quickly repair any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems throughout facility. The position is a full-time (M-F 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) long-term contract role located in Research Triangle Park, NC.


Responsibilities:


  • Performs routine maintenance and helps troubleshoot and quickly repair any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems throughout facility

  • Assists with the manufacturing processes and supporting equipment and systems

  • Work with schematics and wire diagrams to install new equipment


Education Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Experience with building Maintenance Systems such as Wet pumps, Dry pumps, Chiller, RO water system, DI water system, Wastewater system, Air handler systems

  • Experience with clean-room process equipment


Qualifications:


  • 1+ years' experience in a facility maintenance environment

  • Experience using hand tools and working with schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing knowledge

  • Good physical mobility and ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Able to use Microsoft Office including MS Excel

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time,

  • Comfortable wearing cleanroom attire including PPE, working with chemicals

  • Need to be able to attain a "Trusted" Clearance
