Director, Vendor Management


Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Director, Vendor Management to join their team! The The Director, Vendor Management will design, create deploy, and manage a world class Vendor Management program to effectively and successfully support the company's IT Outsourcing operations and delivery. This is a full time, direct hire position based in Raleigh, NC.


Responsibilities:


  • In partnership with VMO and business leadership, create a program to measure value KPIs for tier 1 strategic human capital partners.

  • Drive alignment with procurement teams to create clear lines of differentiation between VMO and procurement work streams and deliverables

  • Management of key tier 1 portfolio ITO and managed services suppliers

  • Organize global monthly review of KPIs with vendors and stake holders

  • Orchestrate with global regions in order have a global view of supplier performance, and gather regional feedback


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred, proven track record and experience valued


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Fortune 500 experience with $100MM+ of spend management experience preferred


Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of experience in managing ITO and technology contracts

  • Thought leader in ITO vendor space with solid credentials on working with near shore and off shore vendors in order to create best cost optimization and global delivery structures

  • Strong record of success in managing and negotiating ITO and Managed Services contracts including negotiation of rate cards, acceptance criteria, penalties and inclusion of Key Performance Indicators

  • Accomplished change management leader, able to operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and take a leadership position in order to drive successful outcomes

  • Have a sense of urgency and not afraid to ask questions, seek guidance, and clarification
