Contract IT Procurement Specialist
Job Description:
Our client, based out of Raleigh, NC, is in need of a contract IT Procurement Specialist to join their team. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for administering the renewals for IT hardware and software maintenance/support and licensing to ensure continuity of coverages. This position will ensure that any problems with the day-to-day delivery of services provided by the Service Provider are minimized. This is a remote contract opportunity that is expected to last 3 months.
Responsibilities:
Support sourcing strategies that coincide with corporate and divisional objectives, providing the company competitive advantage in all areas of the business.
Manage and facilitate all facets of IT maintenance/support activities between the IT business units and their suppliers.
Work in conjunction with the IT Business owners to verify requirements.
Capture detailed data and add to ServiceNow contracts module for reporting and scheduling renewals.
Savings and Forecasting
Work with Finance, providing detail for renewal information to be used to create purchase orders in Oracle cloud.
Work with IT leaders, business owners and Finance to evaluate spend, strategies and budgeting for M&R.
Own internal savings reporting tools such as the P&L Savings Tracker.
Assist to identify, qualify and manage suppliers, negotiating cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Manage and optimize supplier performance, including continuous improvement, innovations, obsolescence and reduction in total cost of ownership.
Persuade and partner with business leaders to drive savings and improve business compliance.
Work closely with Accounts Payable assisting with invoicing issues
Establish, manage and coach team to clear objectives and performance expectations.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Preferred

Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes.

Proficiency in Oracle/PeopleSoft Purchasing and e-Procurement application or other procurement applications.
