Job Description:

Our client, a local leader in clean energy management, is looking for a bookkeeper to join their team. This position is in office Monday- Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will be well versed in accounting knowledge and ready to make an environmental impact. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Raleigh, NC.


Responsibilities:


  • Accounts Payable and vendor records maintenance, including timely invoice entry and payment processing, Expense Reimbursements, COI and W9 maintenance, online payment portal management, Sales and Use tax maintenance and reporting, and annual 1099 preparation.

  • AR invoicing, AR collections follow up, processing and application of payments.

  • Manage, review and process business credit card statements;

  • Manage and process daily deposit of checks; applying payments and updating related software systems.

  • Balance sheet account reconciliations including but not limited to bank, fixed assets, depreciation, and AP related liability accounts.

  • Assist with overhead annual budget process

  • Maintain digital filing for all AR/AP records/documentation


Education Requirements:


  • Associates Degree preferred

Qualifications:


  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably working in the construction environment

  • Demonstrated ability to retrieve, analyze and synthesize information to create accurate reports and schedules

  • Strong organizational, analytical skills, high degree of focus and attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and conduct work independently

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and resourcefulness in solving problems

  • High proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook required
