Accounts Receivable Assistant


Job Description:

Our client, a leader in developing and marketing biomedical devices, is looking for a positive and articulate, Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their finance team in a full time position. The Accounts Receivable Assistant will assist the Finance Department with payments, invoices, and customer service. The Accounts Receivable Assistant will work full-time hours and earn generous compensation and benefits.


Responsibilities:


  • Process all incoming receipts, via current payment methods used (Lockbox, Credit Card,

  • ACH, GHX, American Express)

  • Ensure all receipts are applied to customer accounts daily

  • Investigate any payment anomalies on receipt and resolve

  • Monitor usaccounts@ email, action any requests and escalate where appropriate daily

  • Respond to inbound calls and emails for all account queries and escalate where

  • appropriate

  • Liaise with Customer Service, Data Department on customer queries as required

  • Assisting with Credit Control as and when required. Contacting Customers to chase

  • overdue Invoices both via email and by telephone

  • Producing and issuing Statements

  • Other accounts receivable duties as required

  • Support ad hoc projects


Education Requirements:


  • Associates degree in business administration or accounting


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • 2+ years of relevant experience within a Finance Department

    • Fully computer literate, with strong Excel skills

    • Experience with SAP or ERP systems preferred but not essential

    • Credit Control experience, must be comfortable contacting customers via telephone,

    • making direct contact to chase down overdue accounts

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Organized, structured, ability to prioritize with great attention to detail and accuracy

    • Ability to work independently and effectively within a Team

    • Ability to collaborate, support and assist the Finance Team and other Department

    • members as necessary

    • Highly motivated, driven and a team worker
