Accounts Payable Specialist


Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to work remotely from Raleigh, NC. This individuals primary responsibility is to handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department along with other duties as assigned! This is a full time, contract opportunity!


Responsibilities:


  • Provide clerical support to the accounting department including management of filing all vendor documents both online via email as well as all physical documents.

  • Assist with weekly payment runs, with sending out checks with required support.

  • Review AP invoices for accuracy.

  • Daily, data enter invoices and other vendor documents into accounting system.

  • Research, track and resolve vendor discrepancies and other issues.

  • Reconcile accounts at month end by reviewing monthly statements.

  • Help with yearly Audit and PBCs.

  • Manage Accounts Payable email inbox timely.


Education Requirements:


  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

    Qualifications:


    • Strong ability to communicate with internal and external customers regarding all AP matters.

    • Solid communication skills, ability to articulate current status of the various tasks you're working on and to quickly identify situations where you require more information.

    • You are able to multi-task between several projects and in a deadline driven environment while maintaining a calm and professional attitude.

    • Experience processing invoices in multiple currencies.

    • Superior attention to detail, fast learner.

    • Skills working with Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.

    • Must have general knowledge of accounting with at least 1 - 2 years of AP experience.
